by Phorm Athlete, Brett Becker on May 12, 2010, under Diet Plans

I recently completed a 1st Phorm bodybuilding transformation project, and it was a major success. The subject was a friend of mine by the name of Jerry, also known as: “the squirrel”.   You may wonder how a bodybuilder like Jerry would end up with a nickname such as this. Jerry got this nickname a few [...]

Hey Brett, my name is Jeff. I’m 25 years old and I’ve been weight training since high school. Lately I’ve gotten really serious with my training and people at the gym keep telling me I need to compete. It’s something I think I want to do, but don’t know where to start.

That is a question I get a lot from guys your age. First thing you need to do, if you haven’t already, is attend a bodybuilding show. Ask around your gym about what shows are coming up in the area. It’s a good idea to go to a bodybuilding competition as a spectator [...]

At almost 8 weeks post-injury, I would estimate that I am functioning around 70%. Training is going pretty well and I’m getting into the gym at least 4 days a week. At this point, I am just finding it hard to hit upper body movements on consecutive days. I won’t start [...]

The product description of LEVEL-1 Protein makes it sound like it is not the fast assimilated protein that you would want right after a workout…is this true? If so, do you sell another protein that is assimilated faster?

by Chairman & CEO, Andrew Frisella on Aug 25, 2009, under Customer Q & A

The answer to both of these questions is yes. Level-1 is indeed a sustained assimilation protein designed to keep blood amino levels high for a period of 2-3 hours. Although you will not find a higher quality sustained assimilation protein on the market, it was not developed with post workout nutrition in mind. Level-1 was [...]

I have been trying to get in shape for months. I have been eating good and have been working out every day for 45 minutes on the treadmill. The problem is that I don’t seem to see much muscle tone. My husband says I should start weight training, but that’s not what I want to do. I don’t want to get big and bulky like one of those bodybuilders. Do you have any advice?

by Chairman & CEO, Andrew Frisella on Aug 23, 2009, under Customer Q & A

My advice is that you should listen to your husband. The reason you aren’t getting toned is because you are not utilizing resistance training in your routine. You are doing lots and lots of cardio, which not only burns fat but with your restricted calorie diet is definitely burning muscle as well.
You say you’re eating [...]
